Statement

The light and space in and around Bodmin moor currently offers him the dramatic subject matter, broad, distant skies frequently changing, a rugged and stark historic landscape. In quieter moments it is the light as it drifts across surrounding pastures that appeals and stimulates.

His approach is process based, the working process traditional with numerous observational studies made on site before working the final pieces which usually small in scale.

He has been based in Cornwall since 1990 apart from four years living in Nova Scotia, prior to that he had lived in locations throughout England and Wales.

His work has been exhibited in a wide range of galleries being represented in private collections in the United Kingdom, France and Canada.
