Adrian Edwards

Currently living in Cornwall having returned after four years living on the eastern seaboard of Canada.

Education

M.A. History of Modern Art & Design, P.G.C.E., B.A. Fine Art.

Current Practice

Exploring and recording practical and aesthetic concerns which relate to realism and representation and the boundaries which appear to exist between those concepts.

Academic research- M.A. specialist Field; English Art 1919-1939.

Drawing and visual research- additional studies- Master Class- Slade Summer School 2000

Visual research into process etc. Bursary, 2004 – Slade at West Dean College

Whilst in Canada, presented undergraduate seminars, Nova Scotia College of Art & Design 2008 -20010

Treasurer and Executive, Visual Arts Nova Scotia

Member of the Plymouth Society of Artist, and Drawn to the Valley Group of Artist based around the Tamar Valley

2000. Produced Nine Foot Granite Celtic Cross (carved at DeLank Quarry) commissioned by the United Churches of Newquay. Images of Christian symbolism with designs of a Celtic and Historical nature.

Portraits of Rev. D. Mott and Dr. A. Mott. Works held in collections in Vancover and Halifax, Canada, France, various places in the U.K.

Reviews for the International Journal for Art & Design Education, book reviews for Cornwall County Art Teachers newsletter, Introductions to various Art exhibitions, varied articles for L’Artiste publication.
